Government & Defense
Training that Delivers Maximum Value for Every Taxpayer Dollar
Tata Interactive Systems has been providing innovative learning solutions that address the needs of organizations in the global government and defense sectors. Apart from engaging with governments at federal, state, and local levels, we work with international non-governmental organizations like the United System Organizations in human capital development.
Tata Interactive Systems has been designing and developing training for governmental agencies in the US, the UK, the Middle East, and with several UN agencies.
In the US, TIS has been partnering with accredited organizations to deliver training on a range of performance and skill-related areas. The advantage that TIS brings is its deep expertise in training, having developed more than 1, 00,000 training hours over 18 years for educational, corporate, and governmental sectors.
TIS has a strong United Nations practice stretching nearly a decade. We are a part of the United Nations Global Marketplace. In addition to the United Nations System of Organizations, we have also worked directly with the American Red Cross, the World Bank, and the Women's Refugee Commission, among others.
Learning Challenges in Government and Defense
The challenges of learning and performance in government are markedly different from those in the private sector and our solutions can help you address these challenges.

Several federal agencies are either in zero-growth or downsizing mode and there is increased workload on the existing workforce. Leaders need to maintain high levels of employee engagement when it is more difficult than ever to do so. CLOs and their staff at government agencies need to seed and foster a learning culture to ensure that Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) and other performance-oriented policies are realized.
Agencies are also dealing with issues related to retirement-experienced staff replaced by a newer population without sufficient knowledge and in shrinking numbers.
The federal workforce development sector is also dealing with pressures to reduce costs and demonstrate real value. After all, the taxpayer's resources need to be used in the most efficient way possible.
Rising expectations around results and service delivery adds complexity to the execution of their missions. A skilled and knowledgeable workforce will be able to adapt better to the rapid changes in their work profiles.
A knowledge-based economy, the proliferation of technology, and rapid changes to administrative practices present new challenges to government agencies in fulfilling their missions. Government agencies are focused on providing continual education to their employees and helping them realize their potential and enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies.

Accessibility Compliance The learning programs developed by Tata Interactive Systems for the government and defense have accessibility as a key design consideration. We have competence and expertise in both Section 508c and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Section 508 Section 508c refers to the portion of the United States Federal Rehabilitation Act discussing equal access to information technology for people with disabilities. WCAG is an initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities. |
|
Taking Section 508 into consideration throughout the custom courseware development process allows Tata Interactive to continue to develop multisensory rich training without lessening the learning experience for users who need assistive technologies. Tata Interactive reviews the degree of technical compliance of its products as outlined in the sections, subsections and paragraphs of Part 1194 of the Section 508 standards.
