Tata Interactive Systems wins $250,000 contract in the UAE
Press Release in the UK
April 2003
Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) has won a contract, valued at some $250,000, to produce an e-learning portal, along with a suite of e-learning programmes, for a government-sponsored organisation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This is TIS's first contract in the UAE and comes as a result of recommendations arising from TIS's work with organisations in the UK over the past five years or so.
Sambit Mohapatra, who has been appointed as TIS vice president, responsible
for its UK, European and Middle East operations, commented: "In
the last year or so, TIS has expanded its operations in the USA and the
UK. In addition, we have also been exploring new markets and have already
established a presence in the e-learning courseware markets in Northern
Europe, Australia" and, now, the Middle East.
"These moves are helping TIS to become a truly global player in developing
custom built e-learning programmes."
